Amadeus Nightclub, situated in the bustling area of Queens, New York, is a premier venue known for its vibrant nightlife, featuring top DJs and live performances. Spanning 7,300 square feet, the club includes multiple bar areas, a VIP bottle service section, and a mezzanine level, all designed to deliver an exceptional entertainment experience.
As part of our third collaboration with Amadeus Nightclub, Tirso Lighting was tasked with a comprehensive overhaul of the lighting and video systems to enhance the venue’s dynamic and immersive environment.
Behind the Scenes
The main architectural challenge was the nightclub’s lack of a defined center, which required a creative approach to implement our design effectively. Our team successfully adapted the installation to align with the structural nuances of the venue, ensuring that each element complemented the next, from the ground floor to the mezzanine.
Custom LED Chandelier
Our design incorporated a cutting-edge custom linear LED lighting system meticulously installed across the ceiling, ensuring a seamless and continuous visual experience. At the heart of our concept stood a remarkable 3D effect LED chandelier, ingeniously engineered to ascend and descend using a sophisticated hoisted chain system. This centerpiece boasted dual control rings, affording precise adjustments to both the inner and outer segments, thereby offering unparalleled flexibility to tailor the ambiance to different event styles and atmospheres.
Solutions
Custom Lighting Solutions:
Our design included a state-of-the-art custom linear LED lighting system installed across the ceiling to create a continuous visual flow. Central to our design was a unique 3D effect LED chandelier, engineered to move vertically using a hoisted chain system. This centerpiece features dual control rings, allowing independent manipulation of the inner and outer segments to adapt to varying event styles and atmospheres.
Intelligent Lighting Rig:
The installation boasts an advanced intelligent lighting rig, comprising Robe Pointes, Elation E Spot III, Robe Cyclone fixtures, and Haze Base hazers, supplemented by smoke machines for atmospheric effects. Elation Protron 3K and strobe light fixtures further enrich the visual experience.
Digital Display and Video Design:
A highlight of our project is the custom-designed digital display that curves from the first level up to the mezzanine and across the back of the stage. This LED screen is capable of delivering high-definition visuals that are seamlessly integrated with the club’s overall aesthetic. The screen setup uses a mix of curved and flat LED panels, forming a continuous 300ft P6 Custom LED display that serves as the focal point of the stage area.
Control Systems:
The entire lighting and video system is controlled via GrandMA2, Resolume Arena, and Madrix, providing a robust platform for managing the complex array of visual elements in real-time.
The Outcome
The renovation has transformed Amadeus Nightclub into a cutting-edge entertainment venue, where lighting and video design not only complement the interior architecture but also enhance the overall guest experience. The dynamic LED centerpiece and comprehensive intelligent lighting system allow for an array of visual effects that make each event unique, maintaining Amadeus’s reputation as a leader in nightlife entertainment.
