IKON New York was created with one goal in mind: to deliver a space that feels iconic the moment you walk in. Designed as both a restaurant and nightlife destination, the venue needed to offer an elegant dining experience early in the evening and transition seamlessly into a high-energy lounge at night.
Our role was to bring that vision to life through thoughtful design, strategic lighting, and immersive visual technology. Every element was carefully planned to create an environment that feels exciting, memorable, and visually striking while remaining practical and cost-efficient to build and operate. The result is a space that balances beauty, energy, and functionality — a venue designed not just to be seen, but experienced.
3D Renderings
Before construction began, detailed 3D renderings played a crucial role in shaping the final outcome of IKON New York. These visualizations allowed the entire team to explore the space from every angle, refine design decisions, and fully understand how lighting, materials, and technology would interact within the environment. By working through the design digitally, we were able to test ideas, adjust proportions, and ensure every element felt cohesive before installation began. This process not only provided clarity for the client but also ensured that what was built in reality matched the original vision with precision and confidence.
Behind the Scenes
Every project comes together through careful coordination, problem solving, and attention to detail long before the final reveal. Our team worked closely with contractors, fabricators, and owner to ensure that every design element was executed with precision. From installing custom finishes and lighting to integrating displays and architectural features, each phase required hands-on collaboration and thoughtful adjustments on site.
Zebra Wall Pattern
The zebra-inspired wall design quickly became one of the defining visual elements of IKON New York. Originally developed from a hand sketch, the concept was carefully refined to create a bold statement while remaining practical to produce. By blending patterned sections with clean linear transitions, the design achieves a striking visual rhythm that adds depth and movement to the space. The result is a signature feature that feels both artistic and sophisticated, reinforcing the venue’s unique identity while enhancing the overall atmosphere.
LED Entrance Tunnel
The entrance tunnel at IKON New York was designed to create an immediate sense of arrival and anticipation the moment guests step inside. Working within a long, narrow hallway, the goal was to transform a simple passageway into a memorable visual experience. Integrated lighting and digital display elements bring the space to life, using color and motion to set the tone before guests even reach the main room.
Built with flexibility in mind, the tunnel allows the venue to easily shift its look throughout the week. From branded visuals and themed content to dynamic lighting scenes, the entrance can adapt to match the energy of the night. It serves not only as a transition into the venue, but as the first impression of the IKON New York experience.
Solutions
Entrance Transformation: The narrow entry hallway was converted into an immersive tunnel experience using integrated lighting and digital display elements. This created a dynamic first impression while allowing the venue to change themes, branding, and visuals depending on the event or time of night.
Signature Zebra Feature Wall: A custom zebra-inspired wall design was developed to establish a strong visual identity while remaining cost-effective to produce. By combining patterned sections with clean linear elements, the design achieved a bold architectural statement without unnecessary fabrication complexity.
Custom Lighting Integration: Bespoke wall sconces and a fully integrated intelligent lighting system were introduced to give the venue complete control over its atmosphere. The system allows seamless transitions from an elegant dining environment to a high-energy lounge setting with the press of a button.
Curved LED Bar Display: The existing bar structure was embraced and enhanced with a large curved LED display that serves as the focal point of the space. This installation allows for sports viewing, branding, promotions, and custom visual content, creating a functional and immersive centerpiece.
Reflective & Architectural Enhancements: Structural columns were transformed into design features using reflective finishes and integrated lighting, adding depth and texture throughout the space while maintaining visual cohesion across the room.
Integrated Visual Ecosystem: Multiple displays and lighting elements were strategically positioned throughout the venue to create a unified visual experience. This system allows for localized messaging, event branding, and dynamic content that enhances guest interaction and overall ambiance.
The Outcome
IKON New York was successfully transformed into a visually striking, multi-purpose hospitality destination that delivers both elegance and energy within the same space. The completed design provides a seamless transition from upscale dining to vibrant nightlife, allowing the venue to adapt effortlessly throughout the evening while maintaining a strong and consistent identity. Every element — from the immersive entrance tunnel to the signature zebra wall and integrated lighting and video systems — works together to create an environment that feels cohesive, modern, and memorable.
